Dear Philoptochos Sister,
We hope you and your families are well as we journey through Holy and Great Lent. In this deeply spiritual time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving we ask you to please support our annual Paschal Appeal.
For 90 years, Philoptochos has served those in need with empathy and love. The need for social service assistance in our Metropolis is great, as many continue to struggle during these difficult times. We have given emergency financial assistance to families and individuals in need of food, needing help with housing, medical and funeral expenses. A donation was given to Fire Relief Fund 2022, started and managed by Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Boulder, Colorado, to assist their church families who were affected by the tragic Marshall Fire. In response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, an immediate donation was made to National Philoptochos Ukraine Relief Fund. Funds raised will be distributed to IOCC to support their relief activities in the region.
Your donation to the Paschal Appeal allows our Metropolis Philoptochos to support, distribute, and underwrite the various administrative expenses associated with maintaining our Metropolis. Because of your generosity, your Metropolis of Denver Philoptochos disbursed more than $50,000 in 2021.
When Philoptochos sees pain and suffering, we strive to offer comfort. When Philoptochos sees hunger, we aspire to offer sustenance. When Philoptochos sees despair, we seek to offer hope.
